What are Ecosystems?
Ecosystems consist of biotic factors(living things) and natural abiotic factors(non-living things.) A population is the number of organisms in one specific species. A community includes all the different populations and living things in an ecosystem.

A food chain is a pathway of energy and nutrients in an ecosystem.
There are different rolls that the organisms in a food chain play.

- Producers make their own food
- Plants are producers
- Consumers
- There are two types of consumers
- Primary consumers eat producers
- Secondary consumers eat Primary consumers
- Consumers are usually animals
- There are two types of consumers
- Decomposers
- Decomposers break down dead or decaying organisms
What are Food Webs?
Food webs are a series of different food chains. There are many producers, consumers, and decomposers in a food web.
